Desvel Docks
The docks were built for a busier time. Wide timber piers extend into gray coastal water, weathered posts wrapped in old rope and barnacles. Many slips are empty. Some boats are still tied to their cleats — sunken, half-submerged, rotting where they were left. The planking isn't maintained. No harbormaster. No one in charge.
The barrier ended what was left of Desvel's trade. The docks don't know it yet.
The Fish Market
A permanent stone platform at the dock's edge, built for volume, now operating with two stalls.
North Stall — run by Marrec Tallow. Cleaner display, higher prices. Reputation for quality.
South Stall — run by Kelda Brine. Cheaper cuts, louder manner. Accuses the north stall of padding weights.
The two have been at this for years. The market that used to surround them is gone.
