
Isvyn Mines
A network of tunnels bored into the hillside above Isvyn. The main shaft is wide enough for ore carts and lit by bracket-mounted lanterns, but the deeper passages narrow quickly. The air smells of iron, damp rock, and old sweat. Some tunnels have been shored up with timber; others rely on carved arcane supports where the rock is too unstable to trust wood alone.
The Three Mines
Mine 1 & 2 — Iron and copper production. Active. Under the administrative authority of Hilda Broadback at the Mining Head Office.
Mine 3 — The rare mineral mine, formerly producing Byzantine mineral and gemstones. Destroyed by an explosion during the creature attack on Isvyn in Session 1. The source of the explosion is unclear.
Current Status
The mines contains creatures in some areas the miners stay away from. The party has agreed to help clear them — Janice at the Stone & Ember Forge wants ore from the deeper seams, and Hilda Broadback needs the tunnels accessible for the secret operation she agreed to.
The third mine is gone. What its loss means for those who depended on its output remains to be seen.
